Intelligent Energy Europe

Σύντομη Περιγραφή:

The objective of the Intelligent Energy - Europe (IEE) Programme is to contribute to secure, sustainable and competitively priced energy for Europe, by providing for action:
- to foster energy efficiency and the rational use of energy resources;
- to promote new and renewable energy sources and to support energy diversification;
- to promote energy efficiency and the use of new and renewable energy sources in transport.

The programme in particular contributes to the Energy Policy for Europe, including the EU action plan for energy-efficiency and the Directive on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources. Intelligent Energy - Europe covers action in the following fields:
1. Energy efficiency and rational use of resources (SAVE)
2. New and renewable energy resources (ALTENER)
3. Energy in transport (STEER) to promote energy efficiency and the use of new and renewable energies sources in transport
4. Integrated initiatives combining several of the aforementioned fields or relating to certain EU priorities

In general, activities subject to call for proposals can take the form of projects or the establishement of new local and regional energy management agencies.
