FOOD SECURITY

Σύντομη Περιγραφή:

Priority Areas of the Call for Proposals
Eligible proposals should prioritize strategic activities in support of Timor-Leste’s Food Security Policy and address one or more of the following priority areas:

1. Activities that contribute to improved quantity and quality of food production, along with increased reliability of food production systems, for subsistence households in the most vulnerable communities, principally in upland areas of Timor-Leste, based on a sustainable watershed management approach.
2. On farm and off farm activities that contribute to increased sustainable rural income generation and improved access to food.
3. Activities that contribute to improved food use and nutrition, the establishment or strengthening of social safety nets, and reduction of debilitating factors, especially for the most vulnerable.
4. Activities that contribute to improving agricultural services and improving food security information.
5. Activities that contribute in a sustainable way to rehabilitation and welfare of local communities affected by recent or former crises, including support to local institutions or provision of social services (health, drinking water, sanitation, safety nets...), and related actions aimed at ensuring a coordinated and effective LRRD approach.
